Principal Physiotherapist
With over 8 years of experience in physiotherapy, Yu Fang is an AHPC-certified physiotherapist dedicated to helping people move with greater strength, confidence, and ease at every stage of life.
She began her career at Jurong Community Hospital, where she managed a wide range of geriatric, orthopaedic, and neurological conditions. As team leader of the geriatric rehabilitation team, she worked closely with older adults in chronic disease management, post-surgical recovery, conservative rehabilitation, and degenerative conditions. Her clinical expertise includes balance and falls prevention, functional rehabilitation, and restoring independence in daily life.
Passionate about health promotion and preventive care, Yu Fang believes movement is one of the most powerful tools for maintaining long-term health and quality of life. She was featured in several Shin Min Daily News articles in 2022 and 2023, sharing insights on falls prevention, balance training, and helping loved ones stay active and independent. She was also awarded the NUHS Allied Health Commendation Award in 2025 in recognition of her dedication to patient care.
Having mild congenital spinal scoliosis herself, Yu Fang developed a strong interest in musculoskeletal health and helping clients manage muscle imbalances, movement dysfunctions, and postural challenges. This led her to pursue certification as an APPI Clinical Matwork Pilates Instructor, allowing her to better bridge rehabilitation and movement for those recovering from injury or surgery.
With a strong belief in the mind-body connection, she sees clinical Pilates as a valuable tool for restoring strength, body awareness, and confidence in movement, and integrates these principles into her clinical practice to support long-term mobility and resilience.
Outside of work, she enjoys attending spin classes, discovering good coffee spots, and sharing movement education through her Instagram page, @movewithem.physio.
